Our Projects

Titus Underwood

When Titus came to us to design his website, he wanted to showcase his work both as a performer, a creative, and an advocate. We set to work designing a site that would bring together all the disparate and rich pieces of his experiences and cultural heritage, from his life in a tuxedo with his oboe, to his work on ‘Lift Every Voice’ and his Emmy® Award-winning film collaboration ‘We Are Nashville’. We wanted to showcase Titus as a culturally diverse member of the traditional classical music world, and his desire to push the boundaries and reimagine the cultural norms of classical music presentations. Together, K+P helped Titus reimagine and expand his personal and professional brand within the performing arts landscape.

Miran and Jessica met while working together on the MET Orchestra Committee and discovered their shared desire to raise brand awareness of MET Orchestra Musicians. Their work with the MET Orchestra Musicians resulted in various iterations of repeatable format content that could easily be managed by the musicians. Their work led to multiple collaborations with the Metropolitan Opera, such as the Met’s “at-home-gala” in April of 2020, which garnered 49.4K views on Facebook, and 23.9K views on Instagram, as well as a photoshoot collaboration with @lastnightatthemet and Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and MET Orchestra Musicians. Additionally, our #MusicConnectsUs campaign, which is emblematic of our focus on storytelling about the musicians, and a mutual desire to create original digital content, was recognized by the Library of Congress to be included in its web archives as an important part of the historical record. When Miran and Jessica left the accounts to found their own business, K+P Strategy, they had organically grown the @METOrchestra’s digital reach to 17.5K genuine followers on Instagram, 10.9K on Twitter, and 18K on Facebook.

 Strung Together Podcast

Grace and Cheryl reached out to us to create fresh visuals for their podcast, Strung Together. They wanted to highlight some of the groundbreaking female harpists in the industry. We encouraged them to focus on content which shed light on the hurdles they’ve overcome as musicians, moms, and often being the first woman in their respective orchestras. They wanted to evoke the image of a harpist without it feeling too classical, angelic, or antiquated. We were immediately drawn to the abstracted harp design and experimented with fresh color combinations in designing their logo. Additionally, Miran met with the ladies to coordinate and photograph them in a content shoot for future marketing purposes.

Testimonials

“I just wanted to wish both of you a Happy New Year, and to thank you for all the wonderful work over the recent months. The year-end campaign was terrific with the beautifully produced videos and photo collage of thank-you notes… working together with you was one of the high points for me. Wishing you much, much better in 2021!”

~David Chan, Music Director, Montclair Orchestra, Concertmaster, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra

“I have no doubt that Miran and Jessica have the flexibility to serve a wide variety of clients and desires well. They are two of the smartest and hard-working people I know, and beyond that, when it comes to our industry, they really truly care. They understand the things that are important to musicians and respond well to them.”

~Weston Sprott, Dean of the Preparatory Divisions of The Juilliard School, Trombonist, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra
